How PorchGrab handles app data

Information used by the app

When you create an account, PorchGrab stores account details such as your email address, display name, password hash, and session information. When you publish a listing, the app stores listing details such as title, description, category, condition, price, city/state when provided, status, and listing images.

Messages between buyers and sellers are stored so each participant can read the conversation, see unread counts, and continue arranging a local pickup.

Photos and public listings

Listing photos are uploaded to object storage and may be publicly visible when attached to a public listing. Public marketplace listings can include the item information, seller display name, location text when provided, listing image, and listing status.

Payments and shipping

PorchGrab does not process in-app payments, shipping labels, or delivery orders. Buyers and sellers arrange payment and pickup directly with each other.

Ads and analytics

PorchGrab may use basic analytics to understand site usage. Google-served ads are not loaded globally while the site is being prepared for review, so ads should not appear inside account, message, or empty marketplace screens.

Your choices

You can choose what to publish in listings and messages. Do not include sensitive personal information in a listing description or message if you do not want the other participant to see it.
